1. ALLOW: /∂'lau/ means to accept a form of behaviour or course of action: chấp nhận một hành động, hành vi nào đó.
EX: Some schools allow pupils to wear their own clothes instead of uniform.
( Một vài trường cho phép học sinh mặc đồ thoải mái thay vì phải mặc đồng phục)
2. LET: the same as " allow" but a more informal word: nghĩa như " allow" nhưng ít trang trọng hơn.
EX: My husband doesn't let me do anything.
( Chồng tôi không cho tôi làm gì cả)
3. PERMIT: /p∂r'mit/ means an official authorization to do something, often in the form of writing document: giấy phép.
EX: He was lucky to be given a permit to watch the band rehearse before their liveshow.
( Anh ta rất may mắn khi có được giấy phép xem ban nhạc tập luyện trước buổi biểu diễn của họ)
